Peer review process

Once the Editorial Board determines that a manuscript complies with the formal, ethical, and editorial requirements established in these guidelines,  including similarity analysis and the use of AI with the iThenticate software, it will proceed to the scientific evaluation stage.

Manuscripts submitted to the sections of Empirical Articles, Theoretical Articles, and Systematic Literature Reviews will undergo a double-blind peer review process. To ensure the impartiality of the evaluation, authors must remove any information that could reveal their identity within the manuscript. Consequently, authors’ names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgments, and any other identifying information must not appear in the version submitted for review. References to the authors’ previous work should be written in the third person.

The evaluation will be conducted by specialists with recognized academic expertise and experience in the subject matter addressed by the manuscript, affiliated with national and international institutions. Throughout the editorial process, the confidentiality and anonymity of both authors and reviewers will be strictly maintained.

The peer-review process is expected to take between four and six months from the date the manuscript is accepted for review. However, this timeframe may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the editorial process.

Manuscripts submitted to the Reviews section will be evaluated through a single-blind review process. The Editorial Board may provide comments and recommendations aimed at improving the academic quality, clarity, and relevance of the contribution.

Authors interested in submitting manuscripts for publication should consult the Author Guidelines, available on the journal’s official website.

Authors are responsible for addressing all comments, corrections, and recommendations made by reviewers and the Editorial Board within the established deadlines. Final acceptance of a manuscript will be contingent upon the satisfactory implementation of the revisions requested during the review process.

All manuscripts must include an explicit declaration regarding the presence or absence of conflicts of interest, as well as disclosure of any funding sources that supported the research.

The journal will only consider for evaluation original and unpublished manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal, book, conference proceedings, institutional repository, or any other formal scientific publication outlet, regardless of the language of publication.

As a prerequisite for initiating the editorial process, authors must submit a Statement of Originality and Copyright Transfer Agreement, duly signed by all authors of the manuscript.
