Violence and Education: Challenges and Strategies for the Construction of a Culture of Peace


Objective:
To foster academic reflection on the relationship between violence and education, identifying strategies, policies and practices that contribute to the construction of safe, equitable and peaceful educational environments.

Justification:
Violence in its multiple manifestations (physical, psychological, symbolic, structural, digital) directly impacts educational processes, affecting the well-being of students, teachers and communities. From education, strategies can be generated to prevent, address and transform violent dynamics inside and outside schools. In this thematic issue, the academic community is invited to reflect on the role of education in the mitigation of violence and the construction of a culture of peace, justice and equity.
